How to make your first quiz with FlexiQuiz
Welcome to FlexiQuiz! We're an easy-to-use quiz maker that enables you to create custom quizzes, tests, courses, live quiz games, and more.

This guide shows you how to create your first scored quiz that leaner's can take at their own pace.
First steps to create a classic quiz
- To start, you will need a FlexiQuiz account. Learn more about creating a free quiz maker account.
- Log in to your account and you will land on your main dashboard.
- Now press + Create. A window will appear, giving you the choice of making a live quiz game or a classic quiz.
- In this example, I will build an asynchronous quiz for learners to take at their own pace.
- Now, enter a name for your quiz and press Create. Then, your quiz editor screen will appear to add your content.
- I will begin by adding a welcome page to the start of the quiz. To add the welcome page, press Add page and selecting the Welcome page option from the drop-down menu. Depending on your plan type, you can add videos, audio, GIFs and images to the welcome page. Learn more about adding a welcome page.
- To add your first question, press Add item and choose Question from the drop-down menu.
- The question editor will pop up. You can select the type of question you want to add, such as multiple-choice, free format, picture choice matching or fill-in-the-blanks.
- Add your question and any response options, highlighting the correct answer to allow the FlexiQuiz system to auto-score your quiz.
- If you have an Essentials plan or above, you can add media such as images, video, audio, or GIFs.
- You can format the question with the following options:
- Now, choose how many points to award learners for the correct response. You can award points for getting the whole question right or based on the response. Learn more about scoring.
- Once you are ready to add your new question to the quiz, press Save. You can return and edit the question anytime.
- To add more questions to the same page click Add item. Or, to add questions to a new page, click Add page and pick Quiz page from the drop-down menu.
- You can add up to ten questions if you have the free plan. However, if you have an Essentials plan or above there is no limit to the number of questions you can add.
- Select the Configure tab to choose how your quiz will work. These are all available options:
- Once your quiz is ready, you can check how the quiz looks and works for respondents. Simply click Preview on the top right.
- Selecting the Publish tab will allow you to put your quiz live and choose how you want to share it with your audience.
- For your audience to view your quiz, press Publish quiz. You can also schedule the quiz to open and close at specific times.
- Now, choose how you want to distribute your quiz. Your options are:
Adding your questions and content
Required: Learners must respond by moving to the next page.
Set categories: Add the question to a category in your question bank.
Show question feedback: Share custom feedback with the respondent based on a right or wrong answer.
Randomize options: Shuffle the order of the response options.
Configuring your quiz with time limits, themes, certificates and more
General: Customize how your quiz works, such as time limits, number of quiz attempts, progress bars, and more.
Grading: Customgrades learners get based on their scores. You can also direct learners to their next activity based on their grades.
Results: Choose when to share results with learners and add a custom results page.
Certificate: Add a certificate that we will automatically share with learners when they get a passing grade.
Notifications: Set up email reminders and results notifications.
Theme: Style the quiz with background colors, images, and fonts. You can customize all text that we show to learners in any language.
Sell: Add a landing page to collect payments when users buy your quiz.
